Jitender Kumar had availed Rs 75,000 loan from Muthoot branch here yesterday. He already had Rs 36,000 extra cash in his bag, SSP Prashant Kumar told mediapersons.
The security guard, who mistook Jitender for a robber after seeing extra cash, shot in his thigh.
Jitender was rushed to a local hospital, police said, adding that his condition is stable now.
Police took the security guard in custody and produced him before a judicial magistrate, who sent the guard to 14-day judicial custody. PTI Corr
