A man was shot dead allegedly by a neighbour when he tried to intervene in a fight between two of his neighbours in Engoli area here, police said today.
Salim (38) was going to the market last night when he saw two of his neighbours Irfan and Nur fighting over some issue. He tried to intervene and stop the fight, which angered Nur who allegedly fired at him with a revolver, the police said.
Salim died at the spot.
A complaint has been lodged against Nur, who is absconding, the police added.
