Man shot dead over land dispute in Vizag agency

A 40-year-old man K Nageswara Rao was gunned down in Ganelbha village of Korapalle mandal under G Madugula police station limits in Vizag agency today evening.

As per preliminary investigation, the police said that Nageswara Rao, a farmer had a dispute with his brother's son K Eswara Rao (27), who is also a farmer, over a piece of farm land and that the killing was sequel to that dispute.

Nageswara Rao was ploughing the disputed land at the village when Eswara Rao pumped a bullet into him at close range.

After the G Madugula police team led by inspector K Srinivasa Rao rushed to the spot, the body was sent to the government hospital for post mortem.
 

The police has registered a case and investigation is on.

The accused has been taken into police custody and the illegal firearm has been seized, the police said.
