Man shot dead over water dispute in Raj

A 30-year-old man was shot dead and his brother (32) seriously injured by some persons following a dispute over supply of water to fields in Matunda village, police said.

Ramesh Gujjar (30) was shot dead and his brother Prahalad sustained injuries in the incident last evening, Deputy Superintend of Police Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat said.

Phralad was last night referred to Maharao Bhim Singh Hospital in Kota in a critical condition, he said.

Four members of a family - Sonu, Monu, Lakhvinder Singh and Seva Singh - of the village were named in a complaint filed with police, he said.

A case under sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and also under Arms Act have been lodged against the accused.
