Himachal Administrative Services (HAS) officer Man Singh has been appointed as member of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC).
Singh, who is at present posted as Special Secretary of Personnel Department, is on the verge of retirement.
He has served in various capacities including Secretary of the HP State Electricity Regularity Commission and Registrar of HP Administrative Tribunal.
Singh also prepared the training manual for the Food and Civil Supply Department, which was later adopted as a model document for other departments of the State.
Singh has also authored two soon-to-be-published books, titled 'Administrative Discretion: A Necessary Evil' and 'Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act: Socio-Economic Dimensions'.
The HAS Officers' Association has thanked Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for appointing Singh as member of HPPSC.
