A woman along with two others has been arrested by the Delhi Police for killing her 59-year-old mother-in-law at her residence in west Delhi.
The 30-year-old woman confessed to her crime after sustained grilling by the police, and led to the arrest of two other accused, including her brother.
The police had received information on June 20 that an aged woman had been killed at her shanty (jhuggi) near Zakhira here and an FIR was lodged in Sarai Rohilla police station under relevant section of the IPC.
The victim had ligature marks on his neck, indicating murder by strangulation, the police said.
In an official statement, the police said that the motive behind the killing was to grab her property as the victim was a government employee.
The accused woman hatched a conspiracy with her brother and father and killed her on the night of June 19.
