A local court here today awarded life sentence to a man and his son for killing his nephew over two bigha land in 2015.
Additional District Sessions Judge Gaurav Kumar Srivastava also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on the convicts Mangey Ram and his son Bharat Bhushan, prosecution lawyer Jitender Tyagi said.
Half the amount of the fine will go the family of the victim, Vikas, he added.
Ram and Bhushan murdered Vikas with his spade in Thana Bhawan area of Shamli district on April 13, 2015.
An FIR was lodged against the two by Vikas' father.
