A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants allegedly for having an illicit relation with a widow near Pansa village in Palamau district, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Hussainabad), Nasrullah Khan today said.
The incident occurred when the 32-year-old victim Suresh Ram with a widow, who was suspected to be his lover, were approaching Haidernagar late last night, he said.
Unidentified persons intercepted Ram, who along with his lover was travelling on a motorcycle, and knived him several times, injuring him fatally, Khan said.
An illicit relation with the widow was suspected to be the cause behind the incident, he said.
Police has recovered the motorcycle and broken bangles from the spot and launched a hunt to apprehend the culprit, Khan said adding that the woman was also traceless so far.
