A 25-year-old man has allegedly been strangulated by his neighbour in outer Delhi's Mundka area, police said today.

Manish was found lying unconscious in a lane in the area last night, following which he was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared "brought dead", they said.

There were strangulation marks on the victim's neck, they added.

Manish was working in a nearby godown, and last night, he was at work when he spotted Sunny, who was his neignbhour and an former employee of the godown.

During investigations, it emerged that Manish had complained about Sunny to his employer who used to drink liquor while at work and would even steal items from the godown, the police said.

Manish had informed about Sunny's habits to his employer. Sunny was fired from the job and had been nursing a grudge against Manish.

Last night, Manish saw Sunny roaming near the godown. He questioned him why he had come there. Sunny, who was drunk at the time, got angry and strangulated Manish and fled from the spot, the official said, adding search was launched to find the accused.
