Man thrashed after failed robbery bid in Noida

A man was thrashed by locals at sector 101 in Salarpur area after a failed robbery bid as his pistol misfired.

The accused identified as Aslam was caught committing theft at the house of Abid Saifi.

When Saifi challenged him, he pulled out his gun and fired a shot but it misfired.

Locals gathered and nabbed the thief. Aslam was thrashed by the crowd handed over to police later.

In another incident, four thieves struck at a factory at Udhyog Vihar last night. Later, police arrested two of them while others managed to flee.

Those arrested were identified as Jai Narain and Sunil.
 

Stolen iron rods and other goods were recovered from them.

Kendriya Vihar resident Pratibha Jain was robbed of her bag from sector 37 underpass area last night. She was carrying a laptop, mobile phone and Rs 10,000 cash in the bag.

An FIR has been registered at sector 39 police station.

A missing report has been lodged at sector 49 police station after a 15-year-old domestic maid Geeta went missing from sector 50.

At sector 63, some factory workers today blocked the traffic at NH 24 for a few hours.

They were protesting as some workers were stopped from entering into the factory by the management.

Police pacified them and lifted the traffic jam.

Thereafter, they sat on dharna outside the factory gate.
