A man in Maharajganj district of the state allegedly threw acid on his sister-in-law today during a brawl among the family members over some dispute.
The incident took place in Beejapaar village of the district, police said.
Accused Dharmendra was beaten by his brother and father during an argument, after which in a fit of rage, he poured acid on his sister-in-law who was also present there, police said.
The woman has been admitted to a hospital where her condition is stated to be out of danger, they said, adding that Dharmendra has been arrested.
