A man allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a woman, and stabbed her brother-in-law to death when he protested, police said.
An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the woman, who alleged that Shankar alias Judi tried to outraged her modesty today and also stabbed Pappu at Bhapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, here.
Pappu, who was fatally injured, succumbed to his injuries at PGIMER here, they said.
The accused has been booked under various sections of the IPC and efforts were being made to arrest him, police said, adding further investigation were going on.
