In an apparent fall out of a feud between siblings, a man allegedly attacked his 18-year-old niece and tried to set her ablaze in Barkat nagar area here.
Ravi Shankar poured petrol on her niece Ruchika yesterday, following a feud with his brother Brijmohan who complained in Jaipur Municipal Corporation against him alleging encroachment, Sultan Singh, Investigating Officer said.
He was caught by the people present there but he hit the victim on with a brick on the head, he said.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC, Singh said, adding, the accused has been arrested.
