Man wanted in 100 criminal cases held in Greater Noida

A man charged with over a hundred criminal cases was arrested with illegal arms and ammunition after a shootout at Kasna village here, the police said today.

Joga alias Joginder, along with his accomplice, had robbed Rs 6 lakh from a milk trader last month here and had been absconding since then, they said.

The police today intercepted both the accused on their way to Greater Noida. In the ensuing shootout, Joga was shot and nabbed. However, his accomplice managed to escape, SP (rural) Suniti said.

The resident of Sultanpuri in Delhi was carrying a reward of Rs 12,000 on his head. Over a hundred criminal cases are registered against him, the police said.
