A 41-year-old man, who had allegedly abducted a young college girl from Nadiad town, was nabbed by the Gujarat Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) from here today.
The incident, which had taken place last month, had rocked Nadiad town in Kheda district as the accused - Masum Mahida - is a Muslim, while the victim, 21, is a Hindu girl.
According to ATS officials, the accused, a resident of Nadiad, had allegedly abducted the girl on June 11 on the pretext of marrying her.

Nadiad police failed to trace Mahida and the girl.
"Today, based on a specific tip-off, our staff kept a watch at Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad and nabbed Mahida. He is a bootlegger and several cases have been registered against him. We also found the girl with him," an ATS official said.
The ATS later handed over Mahida to Nadiad police for further probe, the release said.
