According to the police, Sonu Prasad (22), a resident of Gopal Ganj in Bihar, was arrested yesterday near New Delhi Railway station and the girl, kidnapped from Dwarkam was rescued from him.

"A taxi driver, who resides as a tenant at Dwarka along with his family, informed us that at about 11 am that his two-year-old daughter was playing with Sonu Prasad outside his house. After some time, his daughter and Prasad, who is a family friend of him, were not found on the spot," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West) Suman Goyal.

A case was registered at Dwarka-South Police station and investigation was taken up by police. Several teams were formed to search the child in surrounding areas, various bus stops and railway stations.

The police station at New Delhi Railway Station was also informed immediately about Prasad's description and that a female child was with him. On thorough search, the accused was apprehended at Ajmeri Gate side of the railway station attempting to flee.
