A 55 year-old man who allegedly slapped a senior officer of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) in public last week surrendered before the police today.
Radhakisan Jaiswal surrendered before the police, inspector Prashant Yadav of Vijay Nagar police station said.
Jaiswal allegedly slapped additional municipal commissioner Rohan Saxena during a protest over closure of a service lane near Radisson square here on June 16. He fled from the spot after the incident.
BJP corporator Saroj Chauhan, her husband R Chauhan and five others were earlier arrested in connection with the incident.
