Manappuram Finance shares drop 4% after Q2 earnings

Shares of Manappuram Finance today fell by almost 4 per cent after the company reported a 16.6 per cent decline in consolidated net profit for the September quarter.

The stock declined by 3.88 per cent to settle at Rs 95.30 on BSE. During the day, it lost 6.90 per cent to Rs 92.30.

At NSE, shares of the company went down by 3.98 per cent to close at Rs 95.15.

In terms of equity volume, 36.53 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.

Manappuram Finance yesterday reported a 16.6 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 160.37 crore for the September quarter.
 

The company had recorded a net profit of Rs 192.40 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, Manappuram Finance said in a statement.

Total revenue during the quarter also declined to Rs 839.80 crore as against Rs 848.95 crore in the same period of the last fiscal.
