'Mandul' snake worth Rs 14 lakh seized in Aurangabad

The Waluj MIDC police today seized two snakes having two mouth and arrested a youth carrying them for selling.

The snakes are called as Boa or Amphicephalous, said the officials.

Police inspector Dyaneshwar Sable said that on a tip off, the police team nabbed a youth identified as Prakash Khadse from Hingoli district and seized two 'Double mouthed snakes' generally called as Mandul in local language.

They worth Rs 14 lakh, the official said, adding, both the reptiles have been handed over to the forest department.
