"The permission to kill wild animals was given at the behest of resort owners whose foreign guests enjoy hunting and not for the sake of farmers," she alleged.

The State Forest Minister is not aware about the importance of nature where every plants and animals have their own significance, she told reporters.

The BJP leader was miffed over forest department's decision to give permission to farmers to kill wild boars and blue bulls with certain riders.

Maneka had earlier also written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan opposing the move.

She alleged that there was largescale smuggling of cows from the state in connivance with state police.

She said that it was also seen that many a times despite animal activists informing at the checkposts about cows being tranported in an illegal manner, such vehicles managed to pass through after bribing concerned officials.

Maneka demanded the minister's resignation and also called on the Chief Minister later in the day to discuss these issues.
