Mangalam Cement Q1 net profit at Rs 23 crore

B K Birla Group company Mangalam Cement on Saturday posted a net profit of Rs 22.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30.

It had clocked a net loss of Rs 18.91 crore in the April- June quarter of the last financial year, the company said in a filing to BSE.

The company's total income from operations increased to Rs 225.17 crore, as against Rs 213.41 crore in the year-ago period.

Its total expenses declined to Rs 186.12 crore over Rs 224.07 in the year-ago period.

The company has only one business segment which is cement.
