Mahesh Mangaonkar of India shocked second seed Ong Beng Hee of Malaysia 3-1 to storm into the semi-finals of the USD 25,000 2nd CCI PSA International Squash Championship here today.
India No. 2 and world No. 75 Mangaonkar fashioned a creditable 11-6 11-7 3-11 12-10 win over the former world No. 7 in a quarter-final contest that lasted 61 minutes at the Cricket Club of India courts.
Mangaonkar set up a semi-final clash with Nasir Iqbal of Pakistan who overcame fifth seed Jaymie Haycocks of England 11-5 11-8 11-7.

However, his compatriot Harinder Pal Sandhu crashed out of the tournament, beaten by sixth seed Zahed Mohamed of Egypt 11-6, 11-7, 2-11, 11-9 in another quarter-final encounter that lasted 54 minutes.
Mohamed would meet compatriot and qualifier Ali Farag who rallied from 0-2 down to get the better of eighth seed Kristian Frost Olesen of Denmark 3-11, 8-11, 11-4, 11-5, 11-5 in another absorbing quarter-final.
