Manhattan Short festival to begin on October 3

The 17th Annual Manhattan Short film festival, screening 10 best short films selected from across the globe, will begin here on October 3.

The three-day festival (October 3-5), to be held at Sitara Studio, will also conduct a variety of workshops covering different aspects of filmmaking for features and short movies.

Three Indian short films have made it to the global list of the festival, which also has movies from US, UK, Germany, France, Mexico, Australia, Netherlands, Norway, and England.

The films deal with a range of subjects which includes romance to sci-fi, animation and a docu-short. These movies have won multiple accolades at various festivals around the world and will be screened at Manhattan Short.
 

"With Manhattan Short's global reach, this is a dream come true for any filmmaker to be a part of. We hope to receive a great response from the city with the grand repertoires of short films presented at the festival," said Anil Sadarangani, Festival Director, India.
