Bodies of four out of eight persons, who went missing after an overcrowded boat capsized in Ganga River in Manihari area yesterday, were recovered today with the help of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and local divers.
Manihari Circle Officer Chandra Kumar said four bodies have been recovered from the river with the help of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and local divers.
The bodies have been identified as Narayan Mandal (60), Parmeshwar Mandal (65), Bhagwan Shah (62) and Nago Singh (57), the CO said adding the first three persons were residents of Naya Tola Baghmara, while Nago Singh was a resident of Mandal Tola.

Efforts are on to find the bodies of the remaining four persons who are feared drowned, he said adding the family members of the deceased will get compensation and other government assistance as per the State Disaster Department in this regard.
Local residents and family members of those who are still missing have gathered at Manihari ghat to find about their relatives.
