Manikrao Thakre asks Cong leaders on home turf to unify

Maharashtra Legislative Council deputy-chairman Manikrao Thakre today appealed to local party leaders to shed differences and come in unison to strengthen the party.

"Local Congress leaders should bury their personal differences and work unitedly to strengthen the party," Thakre said while addressing a rally of party workers at a hall here.

Yavatmal is home district of the Congress senior politician.

A number of local leaders were present at the event.

On the occasion, a cheque of Rs 50,000 was presented to a girl from Banjara community from Mahagaon village, Rekha Khachkad who cracked CET to secure admission in medical course.
 

The cheque was received by former MLA, Vijay Khadse on behalf of Rekha who could not attend the function.
