Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla today congratulated Ram Nath Kovind on being elected the President of the country.
Heptulla told PTI that Kovind is a "good friend" of her and "wished him a successful and memorable term".
She also expressed hope that Kovind "will work for the benefit of the people and for the development of the country".
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also congratulated Kovind on being elected the President of the country.
