Acknowledging that children in the state have been misled in doing unwanted things under the pretence of providing jobs and better education, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said a state policy for children will soon be discussed and implemented in the state.
He also asked the parents to carefully monitor their wards and guard them from unscrupulous elements.
Assuring that the state policy on children will soon be discussed at the cabinet, he also pointed out that there reportedly have been cases of organ theft in the past.
Biren, who recently returned after meeting BJP leaders in the national capital, also remarked that the ministry has approved to convert the 28-km long Singhat-Behiang road in Churachandpur district into National Highway.
