Seven Manipuri players, who participated in the Under 17-FIFA World Cup, returned here today to a rousing reception.
A large number of football fans and veteran footballers assembled in front of the airport and cheered when the players came out of it. Each of them were garlanded and the people clapped for their spirited performances.
Captain Amarjit Kiyam of the 21-member national team on his return expressed gratitude to those who supported them and said such support would encourage young players.
