Manjeet Singh Jalbuti, a close associate of Jagmeet Singh Brar, today returned to the Congress party.
Accompanied by Congress Legislative Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi and Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president Kewal Singh Dhillon, Jalbuti met PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh and AICC secretary in-charge of Punjab Asha Kumari here and expressed confidence in the party leadership.
Jalbuti said it was important for every well-wisher of Punjab to strengthen the hands of Capt Amarinder as he alone can provide the best leadership.

Welcoming Jalbuti back into the party, Capt Amarinder said, this was a positive development and a message to all that every sincere and committed Congressman should bury their individual differences in the interest of the party and the state.

Meanwhile at Fatehgarh Sahib, Youth Congress activists blocked traffic on Fatehgarh Sahib-Morinda Road and burned effigies of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while protesting against state government for not allowing debate on no-confidence motion in the House.
The activists were led by Youth Congress Fatehgarh Sahib constituency president Parminder Singh Noni.
They raised slogans against the government and alleged that their party MLAs were not allowed to raise any important issued in the session.
