Inclement weather forced cancellation of Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's programme at Muzaffarpur today with his helicopter returning to its base in Patna after two attempts.
Manjhi's helicopter returned to the state capital from halfway near Hajipur on both the occasions due to poor visibility as a result of foggy weather, officials in the Chief Minister Office said.
As the Chief Minister could not make it to the programmes at Muzaffarpur, they were postponed.

Visibility in the morning was just 1,100 metre while a minimum of 1,200 metre visibility is needed for safe landing, Met office Director R K Giri told PTI here.
Poor visibility and foggy condition would prevail over large parts of the state including Patna for next two days, Giri said.
