Manjhi govt orders transfer of police officers

The Bihar government tonight effected transfer in police administration by shuffling six Superintendent of Police level officers.

However, transfer order of two Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) ranked officers was cancelled, according to a notification issued by the Home department.

Binod Kumar, DIG Saran, who was transfered to Patna has been asked to stay back at Saran, the notification said.

Similarly P K Shrivastava, DIG Magadh range who was sent to Saran has been asked to stay put at his place of posting, the notification added.

DIG Special Branch Sukan Paswan, who was ordered to go to Magadh range as DIG was today asked to work as DIG Security in the Special branch, the notification said.
 

Superintendent of Police, City, Patna Shivdeep Lande has been shifted as SP Rohtas, it said.

Lande had courted controversy recently when he dragged a police officer of Uttar Pradesh by collar after receiving the complaint of seeking bribe to hush up a case (against the concerned).

Lande's place will be taken by Chandan Kushwaha, presently the SP Rohtas.

SP Jehanabad Anusuia Ransing Sahu has been transfered to the Special branch. Aditya Kumar will now take charge as SP Jehanabad.
