Bollywood actors Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao say they are happy that Sanjay Dutt will walk out as a free man tomorrow after having spent close to three years in Yerwada Central Prison.

Bajpayee, who has worked with Dutt in films like "Daud" and "Dus Kahaniyaan", says he has always been praying for his safety and is delighted on his return.

"I know Sanju (Dutt) on a personal level, and I'm delighted that he will finally return home in one-two days to his family and friends... We've been waiting eagerly for the day, and we have always been praying for his safety," Manoj said at a promotional event for "Aligarh" here last evening.

Dutt is slated to walk out of Yerawada prison near Pune tomorrow after getting remission (reduction) of sentence.

The "Munna Bhai" star was sentenced to six years for illegal possession and destruction of an AK-56 rifle. The term was later reduced to five years by the Supreme Court.

Rajkummar Rao says he is happy with Dutt's release as he has "respectfully" completed his jail term.

"It's great news, very happy that he's returning. I'm a big fan of him, having grown up watching his films. He has respectfully completed his term; the mental pressure is also over now. He'll be an amazing guy, he'll be back all over again," Rajkummar said.

Dutt's release on February 25 will be 103 days ahead of the end of his full prison term. Before the Supreme Court upheld his conviction in 2013, he had spent 18 months in jail during the investigation and trial phase.
