Manpreet Singh Badal has assets worth Rs 58.14 crore, including properties at Haryana and Rajasthan.
The People's Party of Punjab chief, who is contesting from Bathinda Lok Sabha seat for the elections to be held on April 30, today filed his nominations on the symbol of Congress, with which his party has tied up for the polls.
As per the affidavit filed before the Returning Officer here, Manpreet declared assets Rs 58.14 crore, with movable assets to the tune of Rs 17.81 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 40.33 crore.

His immovable properties include agricultural land and showrooms which amount to a whopping Rs 40,33,27,258, including properties at Gurgaon, Mohali, Ganganagar and parts of Punjab.
Manpreet, who is contesting the Lok Sabha polls for the first time, joined the Congress fold and was approved as the candidate of Bathinda seat by the state Congress unit.
On being asked, he categorically said, "From today onwards the Congress whip will be all binding on me as I am now contesting the Lok Sabha polls on Congress symbol - Hand."
Asked about the fate of his political outfit People's Party of Punjab (PPP), Manpreet said, "The PPP continues to exist."
Stating that it was part of poll strategy, he said Manpreet said he wanted "to give a befitting reply to the state rulers", besides adhering to the wishes of Congress leaders and workers.
