case of murder and extortion, was arrested by the joint forces from the Malabati forest in Binpur area of West Midnapur district today, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the forces raided the jungle and caught Sanatan Sarkar (45) who was a member of the 'Madan Squad' active in Belpahari area.
Sarkar was known among the Maoists as a 'landmine expert', police said.
Meanwhile, the forces recovered a pistol and a motorbike
from a jungle in Ramgarh area of the same district during the day.
