Maoist leader surrenders in Odisha

A former 'deputy commander' of CPI(Maoist) allegedly involved in different Maoist violences in northern districts of Odisha today surrendered before police.

"Sunya Negi alias Satab was involved in 30 cases between 2003 and 2007," Deputy Inspector General (DIG), northern range, Sanjay Kumar said.

He said Negi took training in operation of SLR gun and was an expert in laying landmine.
