Armed Maoists blew up the house of a police Inspector in Bihar's Aurangabad district, a senior police officer said today.
Around two dozen Maoists raided police inspector Kedar Nath Singh's house in Majhauli village last night and blew it up with explosives before looting valuables and household goods, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Kumar Sharma said.
The ultras also left behind pamphlets in which they said that the Inspector's house has been blown up in retaliation to the search operation being carried out by the security forces against the Maoists in Aurangabad district, the SP said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab those Maoists responsible for blowing up the police inspector's house, Sharma said.
