The Maoists have dropped handbills in the Bajidpur village last night at two-three places in which they threatened four villagers with dire consequences, Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Kumar Singh told reporters here.

The police have seized the Maoists' handwritten pamphlets for investigation, he said, adding an FIR has been lodged in this connection.

Twenty armed jawan of Bihar Military Police (BMP) have been deployed in the village in view of the Maoists' threat, the SP said.

The Maoists' threat in Bajidpur village comes days after the ultras had killed the Deputy Block Pramukh Umesh Singh and his son recently.
