A court here today extended the remand of four Maoists, including Shyna arrested along with her husband Roopesh, in connection with 20 cases, till July 31.

District Sessions Judge Pongiappan extended the remand when the four were produced before him.

Roopesh was not brought to the court as he had been taken to Kerala in connection with a case there, police said.

Before the extension of the remand, Shyna alleged she was not allowed to meet any visitor in the jail and also other inmates.

The Judge then asked her to give her complaint in writing, following which she submitted a petition, police said.

The other three Maoists produced in the court are Eswaran, Veeramani and Anoop.
