Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today alleged that the Hemant Soren-led government was following the path trod by the erstwhile BJP-JMM government.

Demanding a probe into allotment of tender to a company engaged in electricity work in the state, Marandi said, "The state government has failed on all fronts in its one year rule as did the previous government. If our party comes to power we would enquire into all irregularities."

Dismissing Soren's claim that his government had achieved in one year's rule what other government had failed since Jharkhand's creation, Marandi told reporters that the Hemant Soren government "is following the path of the previous Arjun Munda government".

Expressing his concern over farmers' fate in the wake of scant monsoon, Marandi claimed that only ten per cent sowing had been covered.

The former chief minister also demanded reining in the 'deteriorating' law and order situation in the state.

The Soren government completed one year in office on July 13 after the JMM parted ways with the BJP and allied with the Congress, RJD and other smaller parties and independents.

Hemant Soren was the deputy chief minister in the previous Munda-led coalition.
