Marginal relief from cold in Raj as night temperatures rise

Night temperature increased marginally in parts of desert state of Rajasthan bringing some respite from the cold even though the movement of trains was affected to due to foggy conditions.

According to a Northern Railway spokesperson, nine trains were running late and one was cancelled.

Meanwhile, light rainfall occurred in some areas of the state. Kota, Udaipur, Rawatbhata and Vanasthali recorded rainfall of 3.4, 2.8, 0.9 and 0.3 mm respectively, MeT officials said.

Sriganganagar recorded a minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees Celsius while Sikar's low settled at 4 degrees C.

Churu's low was recorded at 4.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature in Pilani was 5.5 degrees Celsius.
 

The minimum temperatures in Bikaner, Barmer and Jaipur were recorded at 6.3, 7.6 and 10.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
