Marginal rise in day temperature as weather remains dry in HP

The maximum temperature in most places in Himachal Pradesh rose marginally while Una was the hottest place in the state at 43.7 degrees Celsius.

Mercury breached the 43-degree mark at Una which was the hottest in the state with a high of 43.7 degrees Celsius, while Sundernagar andBhuntar recorded maximum temperatures of 37.7 degrees and 37.2 degrees Celsius respectively, followed by Nahan (36.2), Solan (34.5), Dharamsala (32.8), Shimla (29.0), Manali (27.6) and Kalpa (26.0).

The minimum temperatures rose byone to two degrees. Manali was the coldest with a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Keylong (8.1), Kalpa (10.4), Bhuntar (15.0), Dharamsala (16.6), Solan (19.5), Shimla (19.8), Sundernagar (20.2), Palampur (21.2) and Una (25.4).
 

Barring Nahan, Manali and Dharamsala which received 8 mm, 5 mm and 3 mm of rains respectively, the weather remained dry.

The local MeT office has forecast dry weather in the region over the next two days and rains and thundershowers in the mid-hills for four days from June 7.
