committed suicide at their house in city's Jaitpura area.
Bodies of Ramesh Chandra Gupt(32) and his wife Pinki (28) were found hanging from the ceiling of their room by their relative last evening, police said.
"The couple have left behind a suicide note in which they have apologised for their action and said they were taking the extreme step as they were fed up with their lives," said Sanjeev Kant Mishra, Station House Officer of Jaitpura area.
Preliminary inquiry has revealed that on the morning of the fateful day, Pinki, who belonged to Mau district, was denied permission to visit her ailing mother by her in-laws who cited the inauspicious period of 'Kharmas' as the reason, the SHO said.
Thereafter she went up to her third-floor room and remained there all the day. Her husband also stayed back with her and did not accompany his father to the family's motor parts store.
Later they killed themselves.
