The matter came to light following the girl's return home in Handarki village two days ago, police said today.
Sabanna Nalappa Poojary (24) allegedly kidnapped the 15-year-old girl from a field in the village in Sedam taluk of this district on December 19.
He forcibly took the girl to Kakalvar village in nearby Yadgir district after she rejected his marriage proposal.
The girl was confined in the accused's house as his wife was away at her native place. He repeatedly raped her till December 27, the day the victim managed to escape.
In the meanwhile, the parents of the girl lodged a missing person complaint on December 26.
A complaint against the accused was filed when the girl returned, police said, adding that he has been arrested and produced before a local court, which remanded him to 15 days of judicial custody.
In another incident, nine accused have so far been arrested for allegedly gangraping a 17-year-old dalit girl at Hassan district.
She was sexually assaulted by 10 men for over a week.
