The incident took place at Kaushambi area. The deceased, identified as Poonam Kumari, and her husband were staying as paying guests in Kanchanjanga apartment, they said.
Police said she was working with HDFC bank and was in depression.
In a suicide note found in her room, Poonam has stated she was under depression and was under treatment at Yashoda hospital and no one was to be blamed for her suicide. It also stated that confirmation to her treatment could be ascertained from the hospital, investigating officer Gorakh Nath Yadav said.
