A 27-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide today by electrocuting herself at Masitan village of the district, police said.
The family of the deceased, identified as Charanjit Kaur, have lodged an FIR stating that her husband, Surinder Mohan, had been harassing her for dowry for quite some time, police said.
It has been further alleged that the husband had illicit relations with other woman.
The accused was evading arrest, police said, adding that a probe was on in the case.
