A 33-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by a property dealer in the Rohini area of Outer district on the pretext of providing her with a job, police said.

Based on the woman's complaint, a case has been registered against the accused, identified as one Gulshan, at the KN Katju Marg police station.

According to police, the accused works in the Sector 16 Rohini area and also has an office there.

Police said that Gulshan had yesterday taken the victim, a resident of north Delhi, to his office on the pretext of giving her a job.

"At his office, Gulshan allegedly raped her and also threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke about the matter to anyone," police said.

It was after the woman told her husband about the incident that the two registered an FIR against the accused, police said, adding that a medical test on the woman has confirmed rape.

"We have recorded the victim's statement and launched a manhunt to nab the accused," police said.
