Married woman raped in Jharkhand

A married woman was today allegedly raped in Hutara village of Ramgarh police station in Palamau district, police said.

The incident occurred after the woman went out to relieve herself when, the accused person, Bhola Yadav pounced on her and committed the crime, police said.

The victim was also assaulted when she resisted the move of Yadav and subsequently lost consciousness.

Later, villagers rushed her to a nearby health centre where doctors referred her to Medininagar Sadar Hospital for medical check up.

Confirming the incident, police said an investigation in this regard has begun after a FIR was lodged against the accused in the Women Police station.
