A newly-married woman has been rescued by the police after receiving a text message from her about being humiliated and tortured at her in-law's house here, police said.

Quoting the FIR, a police officer with the Hindpiri police station said, "The girl filed the FIR saying she got married at a hotel in Ranchi under Hindu rituals on July 7.
