A 25-year-old married woman was allegedly strangled to death by her paramour at Sarai Samnekhpur village here, police said today.
The body of the woman was found lying in a field early this morning, police said, adding that it bore injury marks.
The father of the deceased lodged an FIR at Dostpur police station, alleging that his daughter was killed by her neighbor Ramchandra Nishad.
The accused was later arrested in an inebriated condition and has also confessed to the crime, police said.
The woman was reportedly having an affair with her married neighbor Nishad, and she had been pressurising him to stay with her, police added.
