US hospitality major Marriott International has set a target to start half a dozen new hotels in India and take their total number to 100 by December.
"We are running 94 hotels under 15 brand names and want to take this number to 100 by the calendar year-end in India," Marriott International South Asia area vice president Neeraj Govil said today.
He was talking to reporters after the start of the company's 94th hotel, which has 218 rooms, here.
He said the company plans to set up new properties in Jaipur and Hyderabad, among other cities.
